How is Querytail different from an AI-visibility tool?: Visibility tools measure where a brand appears in AI answers. Querytail puts a brand-controlled advisor that sells on your own site, feeds AI surfaces from a certified catalog, and proves the incremental impact with an always-on control group. Visibility is a proxy. We are measured on revenue impact.
Do you attribute revenue or prove it?: We do both, separately, and we never confuse them. Billing runs on assisted revenue, defined event-level and reconcilable against your own order export. Proof runs on the holdout: the incremental impact against shoppers who never met the advisor. We never present assisted revenue as incremental.
What happens to my catalog and data?: The catalog stays yours. Querytail builds a certified, enriched layer on top of your existing product data. Every enrichment is merchant-approved, and nothing changes on your storefront without your approval. Your data is never used to train models for anyone else.
Is there any lock-in?: No. Design partners can exit at any time. The certified layer is built from your own data, checkout and the customer relationship never leave your stack, and if you re-platform you lose nothing.
Which agent protocols do you support?: Querytail structures catalog data so it is ready for the rails as they consolidate: ACP for agentic checkout, UCP for checkout semantics, AP2 for payment authorization, MCP as the substrate. We ride the standards. We do not own a rail, and we never make compliance claims before certification programs exist.
How do I know it works on my store?: Every deployment starts with a pilot on your own traffic with a control group from day one. Scope, success metrics and the control share are agreed in writing before launch. You judge the result on your own data.

How is Querytail different from a regular chatbot?: Most chatbots answer questions. The Client Advisor builds the sale: it understands context, qualifies intent, matches the right product(s), and guides the customer from product discovery through checkout. It's an AI commerce layer, not a chatbot. Every response passes through the Semantic Firewall, which enforces brand voice guardrails, prevents hallucinations, and grounds every answer in verified product facts. The result: higher conversion, not just faster replies.
Does Querytail replace our customer service team?: No. The Client Advisor handles pre-purchase guidance, helping customers find and buy the right product. It complements your support team, it doesn't replace it. Post-purchase support, returns, and complex service requests remain with your team.
Will our Client Advisor sound like us?: Yes. You control tone of voice, vocabulary, restricted topics, and communication style. Unlike generic LLMs, your Client Advisor doesn't mirror how the internet talks, it mirrors how your brand talks. Every response is filtered through the Semantic Firewall, a deterministic governance layer that enforces your brand voice guardrails in real time, before any message reaches the customer.
What if the Client Advisor doesn't know the answer?: It says so, and it learns. When the Client Advisor can't answer with certainty, it tells the customer honestly and triggers a seamless agent-to-human handoff to your support team. Who owns our customer data?: You do. Always. Querytail never acts as merchant of record. All transactions go through your PSP, all customer data stays yours. We never share or exploit it for any other purpose.
How does checkout work inside the conversation?: In-chat checkout is currently in development. Once live, the customer will complete their purchase directly in the chat, without leaving the conversation. Payments are processed through payment providers like Stripe, Adyen and Mollie, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay. You remain the merchant of record at all times. The checkout flow rides the emerging agentic commerce standards (ACP, with UCP support on the roadmap), securely passing payment credentials from buyer to merchant through the AI agent, PCI-compliant and frictionless.
How does Querytail make my products visible in AI search?: Querytail creates an Agentic Mirror Catalog alongside your existing product data. Each product becomes an Agent Card: a semantically enriched, machine-readable digital twin optimized for AI consumption. What kind of results can we expect?: We do not quote lift figures before they are holdout-proven. Every deployment runs an always-on control group from day one, so you see your own incremental add-to-cart, conversion and AOV impact, measured on your traffic. What does it cost to get started?: Querytail offers two models. The Performance Model, available exclusively through the Design Partner program, has no monthly platform fee: you only pay a reduced success fee on the revenue the Client Advisor assists, with the rate locked for 6 months. The Standard Model, available after the Design Partner program, combines a monthly platform fee with the standard success fee on assisted revenue, which is contractually capped. Is there a minimum commitment?: The Performance Model, available through the Design Partner program, has no minimum commitment and can be cancelled anytime. The Standard Model includes a minimum commitment period, detailed during the demo call. How long does it take to deploy?: For most platforms, deployment takes days, not months. We ingest your existing product catalog, scan the web (reviews, videos) to instantly enrich your data on Day 0, configure your brand settings, and go live, with no heavy development required on your side.
